Another weekend; another Sunday Funday, and this time we headed into town to see what was going on at Saatchi. It was chilly weather so a gallery visit seemed to be the perfect activity for a cold and blustery day. I always expect to see something weirdly wonderful at Saatchi, and today didn’t disappoint, with my favourite piece being a stuffed horse squishing a big blue metal balloon thing.. that’s really the best I can describe it! There was also a cheeky appearance by KimYe which I wasn’t expecting, and of course we paid a mandatory visit to the stinky oil room.
Afterwards we headed further down the King’s Road to eat pancakes at ‘My Old Dutch’ – being so close to Pancake Day we thought it would be fitting! I had high hopes going in, but to be honest I wasn’t blown away by the food – I ordered an apple, cinnamon and ice cream pancake, which was super tasty but half way through I was just a bit bored of it.. The size of the pancakes were a shock too, you definitely wouldn’t be able to handle more than one in a sitting as they are so ginormous. I probably won’t go back to My Old Dutch, but it was good to cross it off my list of food places I am yet to try. Onto the next!
