December is the highlight of winter for sure. With everywhere decorated like santa exploded, plus the excuse to pig out, the parties, time off work and NYE to look forward to, December doesn’t seem so shabby and we can ignore the cold and the rain. Come January 2nd, we are back at work and jeeze winter is now the most depressing experience. Getting out of a warm cosy bed in the mornings kills me – I literally have no memory of what I say to my boyfriend in the mornings before he goes to work, as the motion of waking up to dark coldness sends me into some sort of zombie state. Leaving work when it’s dark is another winter downer. I just want to go home and get into PJ’s straight away, as to me dark = time for bed. This being said, I thought I’d share some happy happy websites that I have enjoyed, and could turn around your winter blues if you need to crack a smile. 

Color Me Katie // This is a blog I was obsessed with at Uni. Katie Sokoler is a freelance photographer from Brooklyn, who takes the most colourful and cute pics and seems to be the most happy woman on earth. Her blog is an explosion of fun, with her creating vibrant scenes to snap, and regularly turning her apartment into an arts and crafts wonderland. Microwhat // A silly website that I stumbled on a few years ago is ‘Microwhat’ which solves all your curious thoughts of what would happen if you put certain things in the microwave! Ranging from such objects as food, toys and stationary – the sky’s the limit with some surprising (and some not so surprising) results. Don’t try this at home kids. Llama Font // What more is there to explain? Type in text and see it written in llamas. They are super cute little llama illustrations in funny positions, depending on what you’re trying to type. Tattly // Remember that girl who ‘fell asleep’ in the tattooist’s chair and got about 60 stars tattooed onto her face. What a douche. She should have just purchased some Tattly gear! Tattly sell beauuuuutiful ‘designy’ temporary tattoos that go on as easily as they wash off. There are tons of cool designs and their Instagram is super cute!
